We Need More Unity Workshop Leaders!

The Fall 2018 Workshop Series is getting a great response, and we’d like to keep that going by building out our collection of workshop leaders. We have a few core topics we’d like to cover before Christmas if possible for which we don’t have a leader. If you’d like to show people how any of these work, please let us know!

Topics

  • Sprites and basic AnimationControllers
  • Input and Character Controllers
  • Sound

In the meantime we have another workshop coming up this Friday. Because the response has outstripped our capacity, we’ve started a priority registration system as of Workshop #2. Open signups for that event will be available starting tomorrow morning.

CLOSING SOON! NATI Trade Mission to NYC for Digital Media and Gaming

We got a reminder from Amanda Handrigan at ACOA about NATI’s trade mission to NYC. Details are below. Application period closes tomorrow, August 31st, so this is your last chance to take advantage. In addition to the access noted below, there may be a travel stipend available for gaming companies.

Deadline Friday! Call for Interest- Trade Mission to NYC, Digital Media & Gaming

From October 2-5, 2018, NATI will lead a trade mission to New York focused on Digital Media and Gaming. Activities will include a series of targeted meetings, networking opportunities, and full access the New York Media Festival on October 4-5 (which includes the New York Games Conference https://www.nygamesconference.com/) The trade mission delegates will have access to matchmaking services and receive a New York Media Festival pass, providing access to:
• Digital Music Forum
• NY Games Conference 
• Future of Television
• Rights Tech Summit
• Opening Party
• Closing Cocktail Receptions
• Tech Crawl

Delegates would be responsible for their travel and accommodations, as well as a participation fee. Space is limited! Companies wishing to express interest should do so by contacting nancy@nati.net no later than August 31, 2018.
