Please welcome Jason Miller as our new GDNL Director!
Over the past year, Jason has been an excellent Director of Membership for GDNL and has been involved in the new initiatives and directions GDNL has explored. I’m confident he will provide a positive voice for the GDNL community and continue to build upon our great progress. Jason and I have been discussing this transition over the past few months and began the formal transition over the past couple of weeks. I want to thank Jason for his contributions as the Director of Membership and look forward to GDNL’s future as he embraces this Director role.
I am thankful for the opportunity to have volunteered as the GDNL Director for over a year, and I feel the initiatives we have implemented have helped energize the GDNL community and forged some new ideas for the path forward. However, it is time to move on from this role to help fulfill the goal of GDNL to grow the local game development industry in NL. Along with Janice Hertel, who will also be stepping away from her GDNL Creative Director role, we will be returning to work on our own local development company, as well as continue our role mentoring the developers of tomorrow as instructors of Video Game Art & Design at the College of the North Atlantic. I also believe it is important for a community group, such as this, to ensure it has a community voice by passing the torch on to new folks, promoting an opportunity for new ideas and diverse perspectives. We will certainly continue to be proud members of GDNL and look forward to what lies ahead.
Sincerely,
Gregory Wells
