Hi all! You might notice the website appears a little stripped down. We’re in the process of updating and will be adding content back shortly, and then some! 🙂
Until then, we’ll still keep you informed with news and blog posts. You may run into a temporary issue here or there, but worry not, for good things are on the horizon!

New Organizer: Gregory Wells

Hey folks, Mike here.

I’ve had a very rewarding 2 years or so as the organizer for Gamedev NL, and I’m very pleased to announce that Greg Wells from CNA’s Videogame Art and Design program has agreed to take on that role in my stead. Please join me in welcoming and supporting Greg in his new role!

Greg is one of the two backbone instructors for the VGAD program, and has been an enthusiastic supporter of Gamedev NL since its inception. He’s also an accomplished writer, academic, and game developer in his own right. He’s promised to bring his own considerable panache to the organization, which should be a delight to see!

Gamedev NL’s first two years have seen significant growth in the profile and connectivity of the developers in the province. With Greg at the fore, I am confident that growth will continue, and I know there are many more successes to look forward to in the years ahead.

As to myself, I’ll still be around, both as web maintainer/general helper monkey and as an active game developer under the Perfect Minute Games banner. I’ve said from the beginning that we need more studios to grow and enrich our community, and I think the biggest contributions I can make in that regard is to build PMG into a going concern. I hope you’ll follow me on that journey, and please do keep an eye on the many other indies here in the province. We can all use your love and support.

Thanks for everything,
mgb
